    Responsibilities:

    • Proactive engagement and behavior to safely operate physical-chemical and biological processes of a complex wastewater treatment system
    • Operate component units of the Enoree site's wastewater treatment within permitted requirements and standard procedures
    • Maintain documentation necessary to demonstrate compliance with operating requirements
    • Adjust operating conditions based on testing/analysis to optimize treatment operations and minimize chemical usage
    • Develop and administer safe work permits

    Qualifications:

    • Must have either a Trainee or "D" wastewater environmental systems license issued by the State of South Carolina or transferable to South Carolina
    • Must have a basic understanding of wastewater lab analytical processes
    • Must be capable of working in a self-directed environment with little supervision
    • Must have good cooperation skills
    • Capable of adherence/compliance with safety requirements and expectations.
    • General computer skills
    • Basic problem solving skills
    • Understanding and operating knowledge of wastewater treatment systems and methodology
    • Current and valid State of South Carolina trainee, D or higher certifications in both Biological and Physical-Chemical wastewater systems
    • Prior experience is operating industrial wastewater treatment system
    • Basic mechanical trouble shooting skills
    • Required Years of Experience:
      • 2 years manufacturing experience
    • Required Education:
      • HS Diploma or GED
      • Technical degree or waste water treatment certification preferred
      • Must be able to certify in Class C and D within 2 years
