    • Maintain optimum control, efficiency and safety of the unit and equipment by monitoring and evaluating process variables and sample results.
    • Expected to utilize and comply with the Celanese Work Processes, Standard Work Practices (SWPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
    • Actively participate in equipment maintenance by conducting routine rounds/inspections, troubleshooting, writing notifications, preparing equipment for maintenance and the executing the permitting process.
    • Must maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and company standards to ensure safety, health, and environmental excellence.
    • Must actively promote a strong safety culture.    


    • Participate and maintain a team-oriented work environment for the safe operation and maintenance of the unit.
    • Strong work ethic.
    • Desire to excel and achieve results.
    • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills.
    • Mechanical and technical aptitude.
    • Good verbal and written communication skills.
    • Able to work 12 hour rotating shifts with overtime.
    • Previous chemical manufacturing operations experience (Polymerization, distillation, tank farm, lab, Honeywell DCS).
    • Education – Two years of college training or vocational-technical school with a strong knowledge of mathematics and chemistry.
    • Previous Leadership experience.
    • Interest in serving on the Emergency Response Team.
