    • Manage day-to -day laboratory operations of the local division and ensure that lab support is aligned with the larger CE EM Global Lab strategy, objectives, and priorities.
    • Prioritize and ensure completion of analyses for local MFG and business demand.
    • Engage global testing organization to leverage skills and efficiency for CE
    • Implement and maintain strong workflow processes and systems for good lab management to include workload, cycle, and productivity assessments.
    • Ensure the safe operations of the laboratory in accordance with CE EHS guidelines, safety policies and procedures, equipment and training are maintained.
    • Drive productivity and cost to support CE goals and ensure cost center budgetary goal delivery.                        
    • Champion and oversee the lab quality system. Evaluate, develop, and continually improve lab quality system.


    • Practical knowledge of materials testing, preferably polymers and plastics as well as conventional processing methods like compounding and injection molding.
    • Basic statistics including variables and attribute data, and exampled use of diagnostic tools such as brainstorming, C&E diagraming for root cause and process analysis, gage and equipment calibration, Gage R&R.    
    • Practical knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 16949, ISO 17025, and ISO14001 and their applicability to laboratory operations.
    • Practical experience with laboratory systems, documentation and data management, instrumentation and test methodologies.
    • Coordinate and direct the work of lab personnel.
    • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in chemistry, material, mechanical or other related field is preferred .
    • 8+ years in an ETP, TPE or related resin materials laboratory with an emphasis on quality control and specific customer solutions support .
    • Knowledge of business and operational tools such as SAP and a Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and its use throughout the regulation, manufacture, testing, and logistics steps of the product supply chain.
    • Practical and theoretical knowledge of suitable quality control techniques and methods in production process quality control, problem solving, measurements, supply chain quality control.
    • Previous customer or commercial communications and employee management.
    • Practical and leadership experience in a QA/QC environment of a material manufacturing process.
    • Proven mechanical and analytical aptitude, problem solving, and strong communication skills.
