    Responsibilities:

    A New Mindset in Manufacturing

     

    We are beginning a transformation that will change the way we work, think, act and behave to drive value to the core in Manufacturing.  This role will be a  key position in that transformation.

    • Continuously monitors process, product and equipment to detect and anticipate emerging issues
    • Ensures proper application of RCA process and corrective action plans. If needed, develops action plans to achieve results
    • Responsible for implementation and develop technical training for knowledge transfer and personnel development.
    • Establish and communicate operating parameters for the 24/7 Team
    • Initiates MOC’s and field walk down of implementation
    • Field walkthroughs to identify stewardship or equipment/ process issues
    • Participates in quality investigations for out-of-spec product
    • Reviews/ develops abnormal operation and risk mitigation plans
    • Engage with 24/7 Team to identify and remove daily execution barriers
    • Communicate with outside units to share best practices
    • Collaborates with Asset Leader/ Team Captain to understand and set priority for equipment repairs
    • Communicates issues or barriers with production schedule or material containment.
    • Develop strategy and communicates executable plan for handling off-grade/rejected materials
    • Identify emerging issues and initiate small projects ( <$10,000) to resolve

    Qualifications:

    • Ability to complete complex troubleshooting activities
    • Ability to complete detailed RCA
    • Self-driven ability to deliver results
    • Ability to manage complex work and effectively prioritize workload
    • Experience Collaborating with a diverse workgroup
    • Effective communicator amongst diverse groups of people
    • Ability to find hidden patterns and trends in high amounts of data
    • Experience with many types of software including office suite, PI process book, PLC Ladder Logic
    • Mechanical aptitude and in field manufacturing experience
    • Experience performing RCA's and developing continuous improvement action plans
    • Familiarity with the MOC (Management of Change) process
    • Ability to develop talents among peers and others
    • Understands technology of compounding or extrusion processes
    • Experience with teaching and development of others
    • Experience with ISO or other quality assurance systems/programs
    • Required Years of Experience:
      • 3 or more years of Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment desired, but not required
    • Required Education:
      • B.S. Engineering Discipline
