    • Ensures that the right materials are at the right place at the right time
    • Materials consists of all components required to make product (raw materials, chemical supplies, packaging and finished product etc.)  
    • Pick the materials according to production plan
    • Receive and move raw materials to production facility/equipment
    • Prepare raw materials and chemical supplies for production intake
    • Verifies and validates the correct material to be used, staged, or stored
    • Mix /weigh raw materials out according to recipe/SOC
    • Package and label finished product
    • Move finished product from production facility/equipment to next destination
    • Operate equipment (e.g. mixing/weighing equipment, valves, pumps ..)
    • Perform tasks per SOP, SOC, special instructions (e.g. weighing, bagging …)  
    • Proactively report/mitigate/SOLVE emerging issues (SQRE)
    • Participate in training for continuous improvement, inadvertent mixing effects, chemical handling, exposure limits and health impact
    • Conduct Behavior Based Observations (BBO) and communicate HazRecs and Near Miss Incidents
    • Provide inputs to improve SOPs
    • Generates ideas and implements improvement projects
    • Serve as a point of contact for project team involving material movement, coordination, and handling
    • Housekeeping of work, staging, and storage areas


    • Assume personal responsibility for safety performance and demonstrate a genuine concern for the safety of co-workers
    • Must maintain acceptable housekeeping standards
    • Comply with all safety/health related policies and procedures, participate in company sponsored safety programs and activities, and report to management those conditions or actions by employees or others that might create a hazard to themselves or others in the plant
    • Must successfully complete and maintain a driver’s license for operation of a fork-lift
    • Requires ability to meet the quality expectations for manufacturing
      • This includes: understanding and applying appropriate control techniques, e.g., control charts; as required, accurately sampling the material made so that the laboratory can accurately analyze the physical properties of the product, and working with the supervisor to make the necessary corrections to the product to meet specifications
    • Review and understanding of the policies and procedures contained in standard operating procedures, hazardous communication and waste disposal procedures
    • Environmental, and physical requirements of this position include:
      • Working 12 hour rotating shifts, overtime, working in confined spaces around 300 - 575 degree Fahrenheit extrusion equipment, working at elevated heights, regular climbing of stairs and ladders, regular crouching, ability to wear a partial respirator to protect against dust and fumes, ability to lift 55 pound bags (floor to chest), frequent walking, standing and reaching in front of body, functional sensory skills, i.e., hearing, sight, speech, smell and feel, full use of both hands, handling, good finger dexterity, ability to deal with hazardous situations and materials, and effective communication skills
    • Frequent climbing on/off fork-lift
    • Other required protective equipment includes:
      • Hard hats, safety shoes, hearing protection, bunny suits, and safety glasses
    • Good communication Skills Required
    • Understands process technology, equipment and procedures
    • Troubleshooting skills
    • Material properties and hazard knowledge
    • Knowledge of standards for chemical handling and storage
    • Troubleshooting processing problems with the product
      • This includes, but is not limited to surging, black specks, improper pellet size, plellets with tails and contaminated product
    • Requires knowledge of how and when to post-blend material
    • Troubleshooting equipment failure and repairing
    • Basic mechanical and a sound mathematics aptitude which includes the ability to calculate percents, ratios, unit conversions, averages, as well as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division
    • Required Education:
      • High School Diploma or equivalent
