    Responsibilities:

    •  Ensure the Compounding Unit is running at targets and delivering continuous improvement by monitoring process and equipment to detect and anticipate emerging issues.
    • Ensure proper application of RCA process and develops action plans if needed to achieve results.
    • Own, develop, and implement sustainable reliability programs including bad actors for the Compounding Unit.
    • Improve reliability of the equipment by running and managing programs, providing technical recommendations, solving technical issues, and administering strategy based on RAGAGEP and industry direction.
    • Conduct field walkthroughs and provides technical and operational guidance to team members, leads problem solving processes and root cause analysis.    
    • Tracks on-stream reliability/asset utilization and develops plans to correct performance gaps.
    • This position is offered for the Coastal Bend Area

    Qualifications:

    • Strongly motivated individual who works independently with minimal supervision.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Demonstrate ability to handle multiple priorities.
    • Skilled with various manufacturing reliability systems, tools, and programs including predictive/preventive maintenance, vibration, lubrication, bad actors background.
    • Knowledge of manufacturing plant processes.
    • Ability to work in a team based environment and lead a team towards a common goal.
    • Skilled in people development and teaching, effective communication skills with the ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to organize/prioritize thoughts and actions to help achieve unit objectives and long-term vision.
    • Six Sigma Certification.
    • Proficient with statistical software and other reliability tools (Crow-AMSAA, Weibull).
    • Computer tools such as PI and SAP.
    • Previous experience supporting a polymer extrusion manufacturing unit.

    Required Years of Experience

    • 5-7 years

    Required Education

    • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
