    Responsibilities:

    • Responsible for the daily performance of a production area.
    • Drive development and engagement of production area team, which includes technical staff, supervisory staff and hourly operators.
    • Translate unit strategy into an operating plan.
    • Review daily KPIs and gaps with production team and ensures actions are taken to address any gaps.
    • Drive consistent and proactive improvement and fosters best practices.
    • Reinforce that proactive Safety, Quality, Reliability and Engagement activities are being performed by the production area team.
    • The position is offered for the Coastal Bend Area

    Qualifications:

    • Chemical manufacturing plant process experience.
    • Strong computer skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to handle multiple priorities.
    • Effective communication skills with ability to communicate internally and externally with all levels of the organization.
    • Ability to organize/prioritize thoughts and actions to help achieve objectives and long-term vision.
    • Strongly motivated individual who works with minimal supervision.
    • Ability to work in a team based environment.
    • Ability to lead teams towards a common goal.
    • Six Sigma Certification.
    • Knowledgeable with experience in Celanese work processes, policies, and procedures.
    • Root Cause Analysis Training (Cause Mapping, Tap Root, etc.)
    • Strong technical engineering skills; including knowledge of process safety engineering (PHAs, MOC, and safety interlock systems)

    • 5+ years

    Required Education

    • B.S. Engineering
