    Responsibilities:

    Celanese Corporation in Irving, Texas is seeking a Sr. Specialist Logistics Procurement to coordinate logistics procurement functions for the Engineered Materials, & Acetyles Chain Business lines. Support procuring activities in, including warehouse activities for North America to deliver the lowest total cost of service for the business. Specific job duties include: (i) developing and implementing the procurement plan; (ii) working with suppliers for truck mode; (iii) negotiating contracts with logistics suppliers in accordance with the global compliance policy; (iv) tracking freight rate agreements against market conditions; (v) managing cost and service expectations with suppliers.

    Must know (through academic training or work experience) and applying procurement tactics and negotiation skills, evaluating and selecting transportation vendors.

    Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Finance or related field is required.

    Must have two (2) years of previous experience in the position offered or related.
