    • Manage client IP portfolio records in database, including but not limited to, record creation, data entry, initiating weekly and-or monthly reports, fulfilling internal POC and non-POC audit requests, completing data integrity checks and data management with outside counsel.
    • Perform docketing and data e-Recordation in IP database, including but not limited to, entering actions due or performed, uploading documentation into asset records, including Invention Submissions, Patents, Trademarks, Conflicts, FTOs and Agreements.
    • Steward and provide budget reports (annuity fees due and accumulative costs per family).
    • Steward and manage actions due with outside counsel and foreign counsel.
    • Steward quarterly Intellectual Property Steering Committee and Annual Asset Review Meetings for POC and non-POC.
    • Prepare Agendas, Presentations, Minutes, Follow-ups and manage other business documents, as needed for both POC and non-POC IPSC or Legal meetings.
    • Support IP Attorney/HU Attorney with all PT and TM matters and asset management.
    • Prepare and progress Intellectual Property documents, formal papers, database reports and meeting presentations.
    • Perform other paralegal administrative duties as necessary, such as search requests, estate-file reviews, entity verifications, invoice administration, budget reports, portal maintenance, recognition projects, etc.


    • High degree of discretion, full awareness of, and sensitivity to all Intellectual Property matters, documents and communications.
    • General working knowledge of Intellectual Property transactions (relative to TMs, Agreements and Patents).
    • Team player who can interface effectively and professionally with others within Legal department, Third parties, client groups, outside counsel, foreign counsel and patent offices.
    • Intellectual Property experience, should include but is not limited to US and foreign application prep, US and foreign prosecution, and-or US and foreign docketing for Patents and Trademarks.
    • Good financial understanding of IP budget.
    • Strong computer skills, including but not limited to experience with an IP docketing database, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
    • Exemplary organizational skills.
    • Self-starter.
    • Experience with PTO, including but not limited to USPTO, EPO, WIPO, SIPO, JPO, etc.
    • Type a min of 60 WPM.
    • Patent and Trademark prosecution and docketing experience.
    • Experience with Anaqua IP database.
    • Experience with Derwent, Thompson Innovation, Aureka, Lexis.
    • Experience with Serengeti Tracker (invoicing program.
    • Experience with SharePoint.

    Required Years of Experience

    • 5+ years in IT

    Required Education

    • High School diploma
    • Experience in Corporate Law Department, Law Firm, or Chemical Company
    • Some college or paralegal degree or certificate preferrred, but not required
