    Purpose and Summary of position:


    This position will be responsible for processing input of new hire/payroll data into the SAP success factor and SAP system. The candidate must have knowledge of payroll processing and must be willing to meet deadlines with timeliness and accuracy. Experience using SAP would be preferred, but not required. This position is also responsible for providing effective day-to-day execution of payroll tax processes and activities. Accountable for payroll tax payments and filing, audits and accurate tax compliance and reporting results. Performs data entry and demonstrates strong problem solving skills to troubleshoot payroll and tax related problems.


    Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


    2-5+ years’ experience including:

    • Federal Wage and Hour laws, multi-state payroll environment, payroll taxes, direct deposit, online banking, adjustments, garnishments, and year end processing
    • Experience processing US payroll required
    • Knowledge of time and attendance and payroll concepts
    • Union industry experience preferred SAP or other ERP systems experience a plus
    • Well-organized, extreme attention to detail and a self-directed individual
    • Strong customer service and problem solving skills
    • A basic understanding of accounting
    • Experience in analytics/reporting
    • Ability to meet time-sensitive deadlines and work in a fast paced, dynamic work environment


    Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


    • Maintain employee master data including data integrity assurance activities
    • Ensure the processing of new hires, rehires, transfers, and other miscellaneous changes and/or updates are accurate, compliant, and timely
    • Work in a team environment that includes cross-team collaboration of job duties
    • Maintain payroll master data including garnishments, direct deposits, W-4 tax forms and audit time entries
    • Process the input of all approved Merit increases, Salary Grade Changes, Promotions and Pay Adjustments
    • Review (check) various payroll entries made by other team members/ system generated entries
    • Set up all employee approved payroll status change and transfers requests
    • Maintain SAP master data changes for employee status changes to correctly record 401(k) loan repayment
    • Set up all employee direct deposit payment method requests
    • Perform payroll analysis as required in order to respond to any payroll queries
    • Prepare and process manual off-cycle payments, reversals and adjustments, as necessary
    • Set up employee access on ADP iPay website to provide employees the access to their pay statements and W-2 forms
    • Document procedures as changes occur
    • Develop and maintain documentation and procedures
    • Performs year-end payroll process that includes balancing W-2s to annual federal and state tax returns
    • Participate in SAP testing including BSI, tub, taxes, new or updated union contract wage information, and other enhancements along with implementing process improvements
    • Responsible for running the ADP quarterly tax file. Reconciling the tax file to SAP tax information to ensure accuracy of tax files
    • Participate in special projects as assigned such global mobility, stock processing
