    Purpose and Summary of position:


    • Manage planning applications to ensure availability to the S&OP organization
    • Manage the tactical relationship between IT and the S&OP organization for demand planning, supply planning, and the integration of those processes with commercial and financial stakeholders.
    • Collect and analyze requirements of the S&OP organization to propose effective solutions for demand planning, supply planning, production scheduling integration, integrating planning with the commercial and financial processes
    • Execute Project Manager or Track Lead tasks for solutioning demand/supply planning requirements in scope for all phases of the project: (Initiation through Closure)
    • Collaborate within the Planning/Commercial IT Team and with extended IT team members to develop solution designs that meet the business requirements.
    • Coordinate ad hoc cross-functional solutioning teams for those requirements which originate from the S&OP organization
    • Monitor new technologies for applications in the integrated planning space and identify opportunities applicable to Celanese
    • Create work plans that assign appropriate tasks to off-shore team member. Track execution to ensure that offshore job duties are delivered accurately and on time
    • Integrate planning application support to IT processes and procedures, including Security and SOX


    Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


    • Strong knowledge of integrated planning process (demand planning, supply planning, capacity leveling, supply network optimization and integration with financial planning)
    • Direct experience building and supporting SAP PP/DS and SNP heuristics and optimization
    • Non-SAP planning optimization applications will be considered, with strong preference for OM Partners experience
    • Hands-on experience with any module of SAP IBP, or PPDS in HANA
    • Direct experience building and supporting SAP APO Demand Planning, from MPOS to planning book and macro design
    • Knowledge of APO statistical forecasting
    • SAP (ECC) PP/MRP functionality, including knowledge of master data (BOM, recipe, work center, etc) and transactional data (process orders, planned orders)
    • Strong presentation/communication skills
    • Able to drive projects and group related tasks to meet deadlines
    • Motivate team members and share relevant expertise as needed
    • Drive improvements in IT service levels
    • Skills & ability to manage multiple priorities


    Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


    • Experience with SAP Integrated Business Planning
    • Experience with OM Partners supply chain application modules: Planning & Scheduling, S&OP, Global Data Manager
    • Understanding of SAP BI technical structures (infoproviders, infoobjects, reporting)
    • APO demand planning ABC-XYZ data analysis
    • Data Analytics


    Required Years Experience:


    • 8 years total SAP experience, including 5 years working in SAP SCM 4.1 or higher or other planning and scheduling optimization software


    Required Education:


    • Bachelor Degree with demonstrated experience in Information Technology
