    • This position will support the Clear Lake site as a Quality Control technician and will have other duties assigned including LIMS and facility services support.  
    • Perform accurate and timely QC analytical testing for a wide variety of product release evaluations. Utilize Statistical Process Control for the monitoring and assessment of analytical instrumentation and methods
    • Quantitatively prepare analytical standards and solutions for use in calibration of laboratory and on-line analyzer equipment. COA generation for shipments.                                                                              
    • Provide after hours and weekend QC lab coverage in support of manufacturing site.
    • Experience with or aptitude for learning how to perform data management activities and implementation support of new software applications for the Laboratory computer systems.
    • May be involved with the review, testing, and /or assist in administering configuration of application products (releases, product changes, service packs, upgrades, security, critical fixes).
    • Would assist as secondary coordinator for lab maintenance activities to include creation of SAP Work orders.
    • Would be trained in the site safety permitting process (Safe Work/Hot Work permits) so they can assist with LOTO and permit writing duties for main lab.
    • Working knowledge of analytical techniques including wet chemical methods, chromatography, spectroscopy and various other methods.
    • Ability to work cooperatively with others in a team environment and interact with external resources.                                                                              
    • Good communication skills, both verbal and written.                
    • Maintain good housekeeping practices to ensure integrity of results and compliance with Environmental, Health, and Safety practices and policies.  
    • Minimum 3 year experience working with Chromatography Data Software (Chemstation, Agilent Open Lab, Thermo Atlas).


    Experience with:

    • Administration of Thermo Laboratory Information System - Sample Manager
    • Administration of Chromatography Data Software (Chemstation, Agilent Open Lab, Thermo Atlas)
    • PI Data Historian or Similar
    • NWA (North Western Analytical Software) Statistical Process Control charting software


    • SAP (Requisition entry)
    • Working knowledge of networking and Microsoft systems


    Required Years of Experience

    • 3-5 years experience in a QA/QC laboratory and experience with admin support of laboratory information systems preferred.


    Required Education

    • Associates Degree in a science field OR an equivalent combination of related education, experience and training accepted.
