    Responsibilities:

    Purpose and Summary of position:

     

    The advanced specialist volunteer coordinator performs critical engagement activities in support of Celanese's global philanthropy efforts. This includes leading the Global Citizens Network and the Celanese International Impact Program. The coordinator also produces volunteer engagement communications, leads the Dallas Site Committee, and is a liaison with multiple non-profit partners.

    Qualifications:

    Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

     

    • Excellent and effective written and verbal communication skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills with a service oriented approach, with a drive to exceed expectations
    • Self-starter with proactive approach, a detail-oriented team player
    • Ability to think strategically and creatively as well as tactically

     

    Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

     

    • Implement strategic plans for employee engagement in community focused campaigns and events to contribute to the community and increase volunteer hours
    • Help create a culture of philanthropy and volunteerism
    • Assist with the annual Employee Giving Campaign
    • Develop engaging internal communication promoting activities and opportunities for volunteering.
    • Develop and maintain a calendar of events
    • Work with tools to track volunteer hours
    • Work closely with local nonprofit organizations. Ability to build relationships and influence others with a strong client service orientation
    • Excellent communications planning and ability to execute on complex plans through strong project and timeline management
    • Ability to work across teams to execute a communications plan

     

    Required Years Experience:

     

    • 3-5 years

    Required Education:

     

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
