    Purpose and Summary of position:


    This is a highly visible role within the Celanese business with direct access to the executives within the business for providing leadership and guidance on managing metrics and cost across the Celanese Acetyls/Supply Chain functions. 


    Key responsibilities include:


    • Create, update and implement effective policies, procedures and controls for the total supply chain cost
    • Drive predictable and robust financial accounting in Acetyls Supply Chain, together with identifying prospective, emerging risks at an early stage with mitigation plans
    • Create and lead periodic monthly and quarterly Acetyls Supply Chain performance and operating reviews with businesses to drive strong, proactive value added analysis in the Acetyls Supply Chain area
    • Define common information needs, define standard metrics, reports, analysis paths, and design/architect the reporting and analytics solution for the global, enterprise-wide Supply Chain
    • Manage a group of plant controllers/analyst to achieve the defined deliverables for this area
    • Facilitate Business Case Management and Realization for Supply Chain
    • Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, incl. senior business leadership teams, and works as a change agent to drive improvements


    Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:



    • Demonstrated leadership and willingness to drive change in the organization
    • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, familiar with supply chain concepts
    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to develop collaborative relationships with Supply Chain and business leaders and stakeholders
    • Good system thinking and problem resolution with the ability to assess and identify issues and risks across the Supply Chain processes; translating business needs to technical solution
    • Significant understanding of reporting processes and technology tools


    Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:


    • Would prefer a supply chain certification (APICS) or equivalent experience Six Sigma / Lean Sigma / TQM experience


    Required Yrs Exp:


    • 8+ years of experience in Supply Chain, Manufacturing or Logistics environment
