    Purpose and Summary of position: 

    • Maintain optimum control, efficiency and safety of the unit and equipment by monitoring and evaluating process variables and sample results
    • Expected to utilize and comply with the Celanese Work Processes, Standard Work Practices (SWPs), and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
    • Actively participates in equipment maintenance by conducting routine rounds/inspections, troubleshooting, writing notifications, preparing equipment for maintenance and the executing the permitting process
    • Must maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and company standards to ensure safety, health, and environmental excellence
    • Must actively promote a strong safety culture 


    Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Participate and maintain a team-oriented work environment for the safe operation and maintenance of the unit
    • Strong work ethic
    • Desire to excel and achieve results
    • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
    • Mechanical and technical aptitude
    • Good verbal and written communicaton skills
    • Able to work 12 hour rotating shifts with overtime 

    Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

    • Previous chemical manufacturing operations experience (Polymerization, distillation, tank farm, lab, Honeywell DCS)
    • Education – Two years of college training or vocational-technical school with a strong knowledge of mathematics and chemistry
    • Previous Leadership experience
    • Interest in serving on the Emergency Response Team

    Required years Expereince:

    • 2 years or equivalent education

    Required Education:

    • High school diploma or equivalent
