Purpose and Summary of position: 

  • Actively promotes a strong safety culture
  • Analyze raw material, in-process streams, and finished products by routine laboratory methods
  • Prepare standardize reagents and calibrate equipment
  • Input data into LIMS and communicate with production personnel
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance, upkeep equipment
  • Able to rotate through different work areas, understanding each lab area as it relates to the overall lab function. (wet chemistry, molding, extruding and color matching)
  • Must be able to work a rotating 12-hour shift schedule; days, evenings and nights, week-ends and holidays. Shifts may include overtime, stay overs and callouts
  • Self-starter with strong organizational & multitasking skills, and detailed oriented.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, demonstrates a strong, clear and effective oral and written reporting skills.
  • Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.) and other applications. 


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Knowledge to SPC, Root Cause analysis                     
  • Experience in lab setting. (glassware usage, weighing, dilutions and titrations.)                                                                             
  • Must be able to pass visual color test. 

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Knowledge of lab skills; glassware usage, weighing, dilutions and titrations
  • Desired experience with gas chromatography, spectroscopy, auto-titrations, HPLC experience and other analytical equipment.

  • Assist in interpreting data and provides input in troubleshooting equipment

  • Basic knowledge of Root Cause Analysis


Required Years of Experience:

  • 2-3 years of industrial lab experience preferred


Required Education:

  • Minimum of 12 hours college chemistry with lab and college algebra
