Purpose and Summary of position:

This role will be responsible for overseeing the creative development, execution and project management of marketing communication materials. As an integral part of the marketing team, the graphic designer will work cross-functionally with internal stakeholders to help develop strategies and then oversee these plans as they move from concept to reality. A key to success in this role is the ability to balance competing project deadlines and prioritize accordingly, all while maintaining open communication with project owners and stakeholders. This individual will be a creative force in the marketing team – capable of distilling even the most complex technical details into visually-appealing, approachable marketing pieces.  


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Distill complex technical information into attention-grabbing, intuitive design elements
  • Create web graphics that can work in a dynamic site framework and content management system
  • Create effective templates for marketing communications
  • Creation of online and offline advertising for marketing communications and campaigns

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Prioritize design requests and manage workload to deliver to company’s goals
  • Document and maintain design standards for all brands including color palettes, logos, and usage
  • Be a brand champion by maintaining consistency of visual elements throughout all Celanese collateral
  • Internalize core Celanese messaging and ensure that all projects and collateral accurately reflect key messages and branding elements

Required Years of Experience:

  • 5+ years 

Required Education:

  • 4-year degree in Fine Arts/Design or 2-year degree and equivalent experience or minimum 5 years related experience
