Purpose and Summary of position:

  • Monitoring , maintaining and controlling all equiqpment and process of the unit. 
  • Maintain optimum control, efficiency and safety of the unit and equipment by monitoring and evaluating process variables and sample results. 
  • Utilize and comply with Celanese work processes, standard work practices (SWPs), and stand operatoring procedures (SOPs). 
  • Must actively promote a strong safety culture. 
  • Must maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and company standards to ensure safety, health, and environmental excellence. 
  • Actively participates in equipment maintenance by conducting routine rounds/inspections, troubleshooting, writing notifications, preparing equipment for maintenance and the executing of the permitting process.


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Ability to participate in and maintain a team-oriented work environment for the safe operations and maintenance of the unit. 
  • Strong work ethic. 
  • Mechanical and technical aptitude. 
  • Desire to excel and achieve results. 
  • Basic computer skills. 
  • Good verbal and written communication skills. 
  • Able to work 12 hour rotating shifts, with overtime.   
  • Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Mechanical aptitude or school, wor experience, hobby with machines, automobile and/or equipment repair

Required Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
