Responsibilities:

Purpose and Summary of position:

 

The global communications senior director will lead communications programs in support of our strategic priorities, activating employees worldwide. This includes building a robust senior leadership communications program, leading a global internal communication program in partnership with our internal business and functions. This individual will develop strong relationships with senior leadership to support internal communications efforts including organizational change communications plans, writing for the CEO and other senior leaders, the creation of blogs and videos, etc. They are an active member of the HR leadership team and will support HR priorities. They will lead and execute complex communication projects such as integration of acquired companies, organizational changes, and additional strategic programs aligned to our priorities. 

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  •  A team player who believes in collaborative work and can actively participate as an integral part of an action-oriented decision-making team.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Strong organizational skills and detail orientation. Open minded, flexible, and willing to listen for other people’s opinions. A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field.

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

  • 10+ years of corporate communications experience, preferably in a global company, chemical industry, oil and gas or other manufacturing setting
  • Strong relationship building and influencing skills, especially with senior leaders and a strong client service orientation
  • Excellent communications planning and strategy experience and ability to execute on complex plans through strong project and timeline management
  • Ability to work across teams to execute a communications plan. Ability to manage multiple projects at once and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines
  • Excellent writing and editing skills; experience building collaborative digital communications programs

Required Years of Experience:

  • 10+

Required Education: 

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism or related field
