    Purpose and Summary of position:

    Account managers are focused on three commercial areas:

    • Account planning and management
    • Pipeline development
    • Value capture
    • Protect, defend, and grow assigned and developmental accounts in territory

    Key Activities

    Account Planning and Management:

    • Primary point of contact for assigned customers
    • Creates account plans for all assigned customers
    • Responsible for execution of account plans and developing corrective action plans as needed to close gaps.
    • General account management: customer visits, call reports, sampling, negotiations, customer service, etc

    Pipeline Development;

    • Surface project ideas
    • Execute translation priorities
    • Request technical T&I resources for sales support
    • Introduce and sell new products to customers

    Value Capture

    • Gather volume/pricing/share intelligence
    • Maximize price realization to customer’s NBA
    • Take action on leakage management recommendations from product lines
    • Responsible for creating/maintaining sales forecasts
    • Maintains all SFDC data related to assigned accounts (Account plans, relationship maps, etc.).



    Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

    • Strong communication skills: written and verbal
    • Good business acumen
    • Strong negotiations skills, can show the ability to forge effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally.
    • Customer Focused

    Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

    • Find and penetrate new customers
    • Follow up on leads in a timely fashion
    • Understand customers crucial quality requirements
    • Meet with and learn a customer organization so we are talking with decision makers
    • Negotiate pricing and other cost drivers
    • Create a and execute on strategy for growth at different customers
    • Coordinate with different parts of the organization to bring a project from start to close
    • Report project updates and customer call reports

    Required Years Experience:

    • 5-10 years

    Required Education:

    • Bachelors
