Responsibilities:

Purpose and Summary of position:

The successful candidate will support lab processes for Celanese labs globally.
Work scope will include but is not limited to: (1) technical project oversight for global LIMS upgrade (2) automation of equipment and interfaces (3) new software development/launch to support changing business needs (CEED, CHIP) (4) integration of new labs to CE infrastructure (5) support of lab LEAN projects as applicable.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of lab imperatives and how processes facilitate success.
  • Ability to envision and recommend improvements, automation and implement systems.
  • LIMS knowledge - strongly prefer Thermofisher Sample Manager and other Thermo Suite products (including VGL programming)
  • .net programming experience
  • Familiarity with SQL and Database Logic (understands integtration between applications and databases)
  • Strong Analytical Skills

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • ThermoFisher Sample Manager knowledge
  • SAP - QM module fundamental concepts, structure & knowledge
  • Project management skills including strong multi-tasking and adherence to milestones
  • Ability to work across disciplines for customer solicitation 
  • Lab operation understanding
  • 6 Sigma LEAN/GB/BB

Required Years Experience:

  • 5 years

Required Education:

  • Engineering degree or commensurate industrial experience.
