    Purpose and Summary of position:

    The Talent and Organizational Effectiveness (T&OE) Director will design, implement, and oversee the global talent planning framework (e.g. succession planning, talent reviews and system design) as well serve as the practice lead for organizational effectiveness and culture.

    In addition, this role will partner with the Commercial organization to identify, assess and develop talent and successors for key roles.

    The role reports to the Vice President of Talent Management and partners with regional T&OE and HR to execute programs.



    Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

    • Process and System Design: Independently lead the end-to-end design and implementation of the global talent planning approach (process, tools, templates, reporting, board materials)
    • Needs Assessment: Work with HRBPs and business leaders to define talent related needs (e.g. – training, coaching, succession needs, performance management) and create project charters.
    • Thought Leadership: Provide content expertise in specific function (succession, org effectiveness, culture change, etc.)
    • Solution Design: Create solutions and tools to address business needs
    • Budgeting: Managing project budgets; Contributing to and managing department budgets

    Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

    • Measurement: Create methods for measuring the effectiveness of programs, solutions, and tools
    • Continuous Improvement: Evaluate all programs, solutions, and tools to optimize impact, while reducing costs and complexity.
    • Mergers and Acquisitions: Design approaches to effectively integrate acquired companies into Celanese culture.

    Required Years Experience:

    • Six (6) to eight (8) years of related experience in Talent Management/Leadership development within a mid sized global organization

    Required Education:

    • Undergraduate degree in Organization Development or Human Resources or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience; Master’s degree preferred
