Responsibilities:

  • Lead all processes related to applicable compliance requirements for safety and industrial health, environmental, and quality initiatives;  helps drive site safety initiatives and site stewardship culture.
  • Provides day-to-day technical support to both compounding and Vectra units including guidance to team members; leading problem solving processes and root cause analyses.
  • Identifies, develops and implements programs to improve profitability, reliability, quality, safety and reduce variability.
  • Develop team members to drive culture of teamwork and stewardship.  Identify and help to remove barriers that prevent high performing culture.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

 

Collaborate with unit maintenance to develop plans for equipment and process preparation and energy isolation, leads unit shutdown efforts by coordinating project & maintenance activities with production plan.

Design and optimize production processes, initiate projects, monitor the status of projects and drive them to completion.

Performs lead role in unit process safety systems including:  steward of the Management of Change program, PSRs and PHAs on new installations and modifications to existing operations.

Ensures all technical and procedural systems operate properly.

 

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

 

People leadership experience.
Experience in continuous improvement.
Demonstrated 8 years of experience of progressive responsibility within a chemical manufacturing facility.
People development and team building skills
Process safety responsibility and high level of engagement on safety programs.
Effective communication skills -- with all levels of the organization.
Strong troubleshooting and computer skills.
Ability to organize and manage multiple /priorities to help achieve objectives and long-term vision.
Experience with statistical methods and root cause analyses.
Batch polymerization experience.

 

Required Yrs Exp:

8 years 

 

Required Education:

Bachelor's degree in Engineering
