Responsibilities:

  • The Process Intern is responsible for Safely monitoring, maintaining, and operating all process equipment to efficiently meet the requirements stated in the Daily Operating Instructions, Key Operating Parameters, and Standard Operating Procedures.  
  • Maintain unit Safety and housekeeping standards.                
  • Evaluate process variables, sample results, and equipment diagnostic information to identify and initiate changes and/or corrections to maintain safety, efficiency and optimum control of the unit and equipment.
  • Monitor unit operation and take appropriate action to ensure compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, laws, regulations, and Company standards as they pertain to Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Maintain unit equipment, including Operator Assisted Maintenance

Qualifications:

  • Strong process improvement & safety mentality
  • Ability to multitask and handle multiple simultaneous assignments
  • Self-motivated
  • Demonstrated problem solving and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated troubleshooting/Root Cause Analysis skills
  • Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift (including evenings, weekends and holidays) and overtime, when required.
  • Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills (Fluent in English)    
  • Experience in Continuous Process Operation
  • Knowledge of process, laboratory, and mechanical operations
  • Knowledge of SAP
  • Experience with safe work permits
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirements
  • Previous experience in a Maintenance Craft
  • Reading technical drawings (P&Ids)
  • No experience required
  • Currently enrolled in final semester of 2 Years Process Technology
