Responsibilities:

Purpose and Summary of position:

  • Account/Target planning and management in assigned territory
  • Pipeline/Target development in assigned territory
  • Value capture through effective deployment of our value proposition

Key Activities:

Account/Target Planning and Management:

  • Manage a multi-country sales territory with focus in Mexico + Latin America
  • Frequent contact with customers and target accounts will require near weekly travel.
  • Primary point of contact for assigned customers
  • Creates account plans for all assigned customers
  • Responsible for execution of account plans and developing corrective action plans as needed to close gaps.
  • General account management: customer visits, call reports, sampling, negotiations, customer service, etc

Pipeline/Target Development:

  • Execute translation priorities
  • Request technical T&I resources for sales support
  • Introduce, promote and sell/close new accounts

Value Capture:

  • Gather volume/pricing/share intelligence
  • Maximize price realization to customer’s NBA
  • Take action on leakage management recommendations from product lines
  • Responsible for creating/maintaining sales forecasts
  • Maintains all SFDC data related to assigned accounts (Account plans, relationship maps, etc.).

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Minimum four years college with Bachelor's (or equivalent) degree in a relevant area of study.
  • Ability to discuss Celanese FI offerings in terms of value ($, time, security) to customers and prospects.
  • Adequate verbal and written communications skills to communicate the dynamic environment in which we operate - in real time.
  • Requisite drive to overcome significant frustration in closing a deal - be they internal (CE) or external forces.
  • Strong negotiations skills, can show the ability to forge effective working relationships at all levels internally and externally.
  • Ability and desire to travel within the assigned territory on a weekly basis - Latin America
  • Bilingual - Fluent Spanish

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Techincal degree, preferrably in the sciences (Chemistry, Food Science, Engineering).
  • Previous external facing experience (procurement, site services, SALES).
  • Significant cross functional experience within Celanese. Exerting organizational influence is a job requirement (see Req'd skill section). Exposure to CE functions will only be a benefit.

  • B.S. or 4 yr. equivalent in relevant field of study
