The individual will provide technical support of new application development, customer qualification and specification, and business-critical manufacturing and supply issues for various engineering thermoplastics and elastomers to internal and external customers. The individual will also establish and maintain customer quality specifications in line with manufacturing capabilities and customer requirements for commercial products and new products under development. He or she will be the primary steward of product data quality, communication and enable connections of product attributes to new customers and applications. The individual will support Celanese customers in product positioning for end-use applications in Automotive, Consumer and Industrial market segments.
In-depth technical knowledge, network and understanding of engineering thermoplastic industry, Deep technical knowledge of key plastics material and application attributes, Experience/expertise in manufacturing, product development and/or product management of engineering polymers, Knowledge of automotive material specification process Knowledge of plastics characterization standards and testing methods Training as Six Sigma Greenbelt - Blackbelt preferred Knowledge of alternate fabrication methods beyond injection molding.
Required Yrs Exp:
5+ years industrial experience
B.S. or higher in Polymer Science, Chemistry, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering or Materials Science
