Responsibilities:

Purpose and Summary of Position:

 

The Americas Payroll Manager is responsible for direct oversight and management of all aspects of a multi-state, multi-country, monthly, semi-monthly and bi-weekly payroll function for over 3,900 employees.

  • Provide leadership, guidance and training to Payroll Operations team.
  • Work closely with the Payroll team to ensure payrolls are processed timely and accurately through the use of best practice.
  • Responsible for ongoing development of controls surrounding payroll processes. 
  • Functional SME and gate keeper for all enhancements, regulatory changes and routine maintenance activities
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and company policies
  • Manage the SAP in-house payroll and country specific outsourced payrolls
  • Reconcile Federal and State payroll taxes, quarterly/annual employer tax returns, and year end W2’s & T4’s

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

 

• Experience processing multi-state, multi-location and international payrolls
• Experience with in-house, as well as, outsourced payroll models
• Experience with ex-pat payroll processing
• Strong SAP skills and background with Payroll related modules
• Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional management without formal reporting relationships
• Excellent leadership skills that include the demonstrated ability to effectively lead multifunctional projects and initiatives to successful completion in a large, complex organization
• Strong attention to detail, critical thinking and computer skills, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities

 

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

 

• Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) certification is highly desirable
• Recent, demonstrated proficiency and experience using ADP suite of products
• Experience with several time and attendance systems
• Budget experience

 

 

Required Years Expereince:

 

• 7-10 years of direct payroll processing experience which includes at 3-5 years’ experience being directly responsible for the payroll function

 

Required Education:

 

• Bachelor’s degree and 7+ years of HR experience and/or related experience
