Responsibilities:

o Ensure regulatory compliance of EM products in the Americas, including maintenance of product formulations, new product review, raw material reviews, 3rd party certifications (UL, NSF, food contact and drinking water, IMDS, etc.)
o Provide training to R&D, Technical Service, Sales, Supply Chain, and other departments
o Develop, maintain and where appropriate, optimize product stewardship processes
o Respond to internal and external customers' regulatory inquiries
o Represent Celanese in industry associations as assigned

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

o 5-7 years experience in product stewardship/chemical regulatory compliance in the chemical industry
o Strong proficiency in common chemical regulations (TSCA, DSL, FDA, RoHS, etc.)
o Strong project management skills
o Meticulous record keeping
o Data management in IT systems/databases
o Ability to interpret regulatory publications and translate them into appropriate risk management strategies
o Strong Customer Focus

 

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

o Hands on experience using the EH&S SAP module desired
o Experience in M&A projects a plus
o Familiarity with Latin American chemical regulations a plus

 

Required Yrs Exp:

o5 to 7 years 

 

Required Education:

BS in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, or other related technical discipline
