Responsibilities:

Purpose and Summary of position:

This hybrid role will be responsible for the HR Business Partnership as well as Diversity and Inclusion.

Working closely with the Corporate Lead for Diversity and Inclusion, Human Resources and other key functions and diversity champions to ensure achievement of the elements of the D&I Strategy:

• Managing the coordinated cross-ERG (Employee Resource Group) support efforts, including interfacing with executive sponsors
• Developing the ERG program budget and approve requested spending
• Establishing and managing internal D&I communication cadence to tell the D&I story; explore external communication opportunities
• Developing content for D&I presentations and communications, working collaboratively with support partners (e.g., Global Communications)
• Data-mining internal statistics, benchmarking against external D&I resources, as applicable
• Developing metrics reporting and processes to measure progress
• Keeping up with and sharing current/trending industry D&I subjects
• Demonstrating a passion for and serve as a change agent for cultural diversity at Celanese

 

In addition, the HR business partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with employees and management in designated business units/client groups. The position serves as a consultant to management on human resource-related issues, acting as both a change agent and an employee champion. Key functions of the HRBP responsibilities include:

• Consults with business, providing HR guidance when appropriate

• Analyzes trends and metrics to develop solutions in support of business needs

• Provides day-to-day performance management guidance to business leaders (e.g., coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions)

• Works closely with leadership and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, and increase engagement and retention

• Provides guidance and input on business unit restructures, workforce planning and succession planning

 

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: 

• Ability to develop and communicate verbal and written presentations that influence and engage internal, external partners and stakeholders
• Knowledge of budgeting and spend management
• Ability to build and foster relationships
• Flexible and adaptable
• Problem solving and decision making skills
• Strong quantitative, analytical and research skills
• Strong written/verbal communication and facilitation/presentation skills
• Proven ability to work collaboratively and build relationships
• Ability to direct the efforts of a support resource

 

Desired Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

• Experience working in the D&I field or on specific projects impacting D&I
• Experience in the HR space, especially in attracting, hiring and development/talent and/or HRBP experience

 

Required Years Education:

4-5 or more years of work experience 

 

Required Education:

Bachelors Degree, minimum
