Responsibilities:

Purpose and Summary of position: 

  • Support Logistics Procurement Department by evaluating freight spend and Logistics Distribution Costs.
  • Support in constructing effective logistics procurement strategies for delivering best value for Celanese's businesses.

Areas of Responsibility:

  • Create Freight spend analysis models, by mode, for use by Strategic Sourcing and Supply Chain.
  • Prepare historical rate reports to support freight pricing scenarios request from Business Lines and commercial Teams.
  • Provide Freight and Costs Analysis and Support supplier relationships within the mode of transportation/services
  • Support Sourcing Leader to define service objectives and alternatives.
  • Run ad hoc BI reports in support of logistics excellence rate and route opportunities.
  • Support freight process improvements and work with Logistics Managers, Supply Chain, Accounts Payable and Strategic Sourcing leads for implementation.
  • Measure the implementation of the procurement plan/productivity projects.
  • Facilitate TMS Vendor set up and communication between 3rd party vendor and Celanese.
  • Support on Network Optimization Project.
  • Support on Tendering BID (TI Contract - GT Nexus) process.

Qualifications:

Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • Strong Analytical, technical Knowledge
  • Attention to details
  • Strong software skills especially in MS Excel and Power Point
  • Strong written and verbal communication

Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:  

  • SAP R/3 Experience specially in BI Reporting (Business Intelligence)
  • TI Contract
  • GT Nexus
  • MS Access

Required Years Experience:

At least 1-2 years experience in supply chain, finance or Accounting

 

Required Education:

University or College Degree desired
