Responsibilities:

The Senior Analyst for External Reporting will be a member of the team responsible for timely and accurate external financial reporting. Position will assist the team in gathering data to ensure accuracy and completeness of filings with the Securities and Exchange Commission ("SEC") and other external reports.

 

- Assist with preparation and tie-out of external reports (10-Q's / 10-K's) using collaborative software (Workiva), including the accumulation of supporting documentation, ensuring completeness and accuracy. - Review, and tie-out to supporting documentation, presentations and materials prepared by Investor Relations for completeness and accuracy. - Perform XBRL tagging of required disclosures within the Form 10-Q and 10-K. - Perform monthly accounting and recording of journal entries for corporate level areas (remediation, stock compensation, severance, pensions, etc.) - Prepare financial statements and supporting documentation for employee benefit plans and other statutory reporting, including providing assistance to external auditors as necessary.

Qualifications:

Experience using Workiva

Previous SEC reporting experience, including preparing Form 10-Q's and 10-K's and related supporting documentation

Chemical industry experience

Experience within the Celanese finance organization.

Strong computer skills -- ERP systems (SAP preferred), MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Strong communication and writing skills.

Attention to detail.

Three or more years of work experience (Big Four preferred)

Bachelor degree or equivalent in accounting. CPA or working towards CPA license preferred.
