Responsibilities:

  • The successful candidate will be assigned to support various projects and testing support needs in the Celanese Analytical Testing Laboratory.  Project scope will center on M&A integration support including but not limited to coordination of molding and testing validation and bias resolution.  Firm project list will be determined based on activities nearer the start date but may include activities such as:
  • Equipment or Method implementation/development/optimization
  • Hands on testing support
  • Creation of technical reports based on data generated and possible presentation of same in appropriate forum
  • Collaboration with Celanese experts or potentially external vendors
  • Method validation and/or MSA/Gage R&R studies
  • Project support/liaison
  •  Key metrics for this team will be (1) safety (2) quality (3) effectiveness and innovation in solutions and project acceleration to finishing
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety and wet chemical handling
  • Creative ideas and innovative thought to make things better/more efficient
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Multitasking and excellent milestone tracking

Qualifications:

  • Basic polymer course completed successfully
  • Basic understanding of statics and the strengths of materials/physics and mechanics

  • Hard worker
  • Courage to work independently (with appropriate mentorship) to realize benefits
  • Third year in college
  • Chemistry entering Jr/Sr w/successfully completed organic and ideally inorganic curiculum
