Overview:

The Senior Manager, Business Analysis (BAM) plays a critical role in shaping and advancing enterprise and business line strategy. This role partners closely with Global Business Leaders, Finance, Manufacturing, and Corporate Strategy to frame complex decisions, conduct advanced financial and strategic analyses, and translate insights into clear, compelling narratives for executive leadership, the Board, and external stakeholders.

 

The ideal candidate brings a strong strategic orientation, deep analytical and financial modeling capability, and the ability to rapidly assess ambiguous situations, structure decision frameworks, and drive execution.

Responsibilities:

Enterprise & Business Line Strategy

  • Lead and support the development, refinement, and execution of business line and enterprise-level strategy aligned with corporate objectives.
  • Structure ambiguous, complex strategic questions into clear analytical frameworks and decision paths.
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate trade-offs, risks, and value creation opportunities across markets, assets, and portfolios.

Strategic Initiatives & Value Creation

  • Lead or support high-impact strategic initiatives, including:
    • Asset footprint optimization in partnership with Manufacturing and Operations
    • Capital investment prioritization and scenario analysis
    • Evaluation of partnerships, joint ventures, co-producer, and swap opportunities
  • Translate strategic insights into actionable execution roadmaps and implementation plans.

Executive, Board & Stakeholder Communication

  • Develop clear, compelling, and executive-ready narratives that synthesize complex analyses into strategic recommendations.
  • Create and deliver high-quality presentations and materials for senior executives, Board of Directors, and external stakeholders (e.g. investors, partners).
  • Influence decision-making by balancing analytical rigor with practical business judgment and risk awareness.

Advanced Business & Financial Analysis

  • Analyze large, complex datasets from internal and external sources to generate insights that influence strategic and capital allocation decisions.
  • Develop and maintain sophisticated analytical tools, including but not limited to:
    • Industry cost curves and margin benchmarking
    • Global trade flow and import/export analyses
    • Market share, share-of-wallet, and demand evolution models
    • Competitive intelligence and competitor profiling
    • Portfolio performance and product lifecycle reviews
  • Build and evaluate detailed financial models supporting investment cases, scenario planning, and long-range strategic options.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 7+ years of relevant experience in strategy, business analysis, corporate development, management consulting, or similar roles.
  • Experience in management consulting, strategy advisory, or equivalent roles requiring rapid assessment, hypothesis-driven analysis, and executive-level communication.
  • Exposure to capital-intensive, global, or industrial businesses with complex supply, demand, and regulatory dynamics.
  • Demonstrated enterprise strategic thinking with the ability to connect market dynamics, financial outcomes, and operational realities.
  • Strong financial acumen, including experience with investment analysis, scenario modeling, and capital decision support.
  • Proven ability to rapidly understand new industries, markets, and business models, and to drive structured problem-solving under ambiguity.
  • Excellent executive communication and storytelling skills, with experience tailoring messages for senior leadership, boards, or external audiences.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and build alignment across functions and geographies.
  • Self-directed leader capable of independently driving complex strategic projects from concept through recommendation and execution planning.
  • High intellectual curiosity, learning agility, and a bias toward action.
