Vice President, Global HR Business Partner – Manufacturing & Operations

Overview:

This position reports directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer and provides strategic HR partnership to the SVP, Global Manufacturing and the manufacturing leadership team, as well as execution leadership to the geographically based HR teams that support manufacturing and field populations.

Responsibilities:

This role is responsible for the development and execution of a human capital plan and people agenda for the Global Manufacturing team. The human capital plan translates the performance and strategic requirements of the global manufacturing organization into plans across the following areas:

  • Organization design and effectiveness
  • Workforce planning and capabilities
  • Workforce engagement
  • Labor relations strategy
  • Executive development and coaching
  • Roll-ups and calibration processes for performance, pay, and talent

 

This role also leads the regional HR leaders (Americas, EMEA, China, and Asia outside China), who oversee site-based HR Business Partners. Site-based HR Business Partners generally support manufacturing site leadership teams and/or field offices (e.g., Shared Services Centers), as well as provide local support for other Business Unit or functional initiatives. Key responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with manufacturing sites or Shared Services site leadership teams to manage change
  • Workforce planning at the site level
  • Leading key processes such as performance management, talent review, and pay planning
  • Managing labor relations
  • Supporting functional changes, transformations, or organizational projects (e.g., sales, IT, finance), as guided or requested by Global Business Unit and functional HR Business Partners
  • Supporting on-site conversations or communications as requested by Global Business Unit or functional HR Business Partners

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field required
  • Previous experience leading a global HR team within a multi-site, multi-region manufacturing organization
  • 15+ years of experience in a progressive HR environment
  • Demonstrated experience driving transformational change in complex manufacturing environments
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to interpret financial data and assess the financial impact of people decisions
  • Experience leading teams that manage labor relations and labor contracts in the U.S. and internationally
  • Quarterly international travel plus domestic travel as needed
