Overview:

Celanese is developing innovative uses for artificial intelligence, including within the sustainable materials space. This role will have meaningful impact on the development, implementation and evolution of these innovative tools via data governance. AI models require advanced data preparation and governance policies to offer exceptional output. This role will function as the developer, steward and contact for data that supports product sustainability tools that are used by Celanese team members and Celanese customers. These tools are a fundamental part of Celanese success and strategy, and this role will participate in development of new capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Develop tools for manipulating data to generate key outputs:

 

  • Support advancement of data governance program through policy/standard reviews, maturity model assessments, and establishing a data marketplace.
  • Develop, document, and maintain data governance processes for in-scope data.
  • Proactively influence and guide data owners in supporting data governance processes and in developing key data sources.
  • Function as point of contact for resolving challenges related to data integrity.

  • Research & Development Team.
  • IT Team.
  • Sales Team.

Qualifications:

Minimum of Bachelor’s in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field

  • 0-3 years of experience.
  • Strong change agent and effective communication skills.
  • Strong understanding of data governance processes and standards.
  • Technical proficiency in data application development.
  • Proficiency in English required.

Nice to Have Skills:

 

  • Familiarity with engineering materials, their applications, and material properties.
  • Experience with cloud data governance tools like Power BI, Tableau, Informatica, Collibra, or equivalent.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Snowflake.
