Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
High School diploma or equivalent.
0-3+ years of experience with an Associates Degree in Chemical Process Technology OR Minimum 3 years of experience in petrochemical manufacturing facility/refinery/chemical terminal
- Ability to Multitask and Manage Multiple Simultaneous Assignments
- Ability to Work as a member of a high performance Team & with other work groups such as technical and maintenance personnel
- Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills (Must be fluent in English)
- Computer Skills –proficient in Microsoft Office software: Word, Excel
- Basic understanding process chemistry principles
- Excellent troubleshooting/Root Cause Analysis skills
- Good mechanical aptitude
- Highly disciplined and organized approach to managing daily tasks; high attention to detail
- Position requires working a 12-hour rotating shift (including evenings and weekends and holidays)
- Work in a hot environment / wearing breathing air as required
- Must be able to work overtime when required
- Ability to serve on the Emergency Response Team
Desirable Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- Knowledge of: SAP; process, laboratory & mechanical operations; regulatory requirements.
- Experience in: Celanese Standard Work processes; safe work permits; Utilities Operations, Continuous Process Operations &/or Continuous Process/Operations.
- Proficient in DCS Operations.
- Previous experience in: a Maintenance Craft; emergency response.
- Reading technical drawings (P&Ids).
- Familiarity with Safety Instrument Systems.
- Familiarity with Oxygen Handling Standards.
