Global Director Demand Planning, Engineered Materials S&OP

Overview:

The Global Director of Demand Planning will report to VP S&OP and be responsible for all aspects of the Demand Planning process and drive execution for the Engineered Materials business.  This person will lead a team of regional demand planners responsible for monthly forecasting processes across Americas, EMEA, and Asia. The Global Director will also play a key role in bridging S&OP and Business processes, working closely with colleagues in Commercial, P&L, Finance, and rest of Supply Chain Planning team.

 

Location: Las Colinas (Irving, Texas) ~ preferably

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direction, coaching, and manage performance of regional demand planners through both direct and matrix organizational structures
  • Oversee monthly regional demand process. Lead monthly global demand process. Align sales forecast and business target volumes with Global Sales, P&L, and Finance leadership
  • Monitor multiple levels of forecast accuracy, communicate results, and drive actions to improve
  • Establish timeline for and manage annual volume budgeting process
  • Identify and lead global process improvement efforts related to S&OP, leveraging industry best practices
  • Publish Orders vs Forecast reports and manage online dashboard
  • Collaborate with and provide demand related insight to Senior leaders, to improve business decisions; in the meantime, bring the insights from senior leaders back to the Supply chain planning organization to enable Integrated Business Planning
  • Act as Global Process Owner for demand planning policies, procedures, and tools

Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Supply Chain, Engineering or related discipline
  • 8+ years professional working experience, with 2 years specifically in Demand Planning
  • Highly proficient in Demand Planning processes and tools including statistical forecasting and forecast accuracy analysis.
  • Solid understanding of end to end S&OP processes and how this connects to Commercial organization
  • People leadership experience, with proven ability to develop and motivate teams
  • Experience managing global projects with proven record of process improvement
  • Strong problem solving and analytics skills
  • Solid executive presence.  Ability to effectively communicate (both written and verbal) and present to multiple levels of the organization, including senior leadership
  • Proven ability of using positive persuasion and influence to reach consensus outcomes
  • Excellent MS Office skills including Excel and Power Point, working knowledge of MS Visio
  • Experience in SAP IBP Demand software, well as SAP SD and MM modules preferred
