Ensure that emergency response plans are implemented, understood, and followed by workplace employees. Ensure regulatory and legal compliance in matters of emergency response, transportation, and civil protection, as well as having adequate and up-to-date documentation. Create and promote a culture of interdependent safety in the workplace applicable to employees, contractors, and visitors. Attend corporate, internal, and government audits on safety, emergency response, and civil protection.
Develop, implement, and regularly update comprehensive emergency response and Security programs that comply with government and Celanese standards.
Ensure full compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., Civil protection, STPS, PROFEPA).
Conduct risk and vulnerability assessments across all critical operations at the complex and Marine terminal (e.g., Controlled chemicals, sabotage, intrusion).
Organize and lead emergency drills and interface with local and regional mutual aid committees and authorities.
Be the main liaison for improvements identified with physical security responsibilities and with transportation companies.
Train personnel in emergency preparedness, evacuation routes and incident prevention protocols.
