Overview:
This position will support process improvement and innovation for the Acetate Tow business. The primary function is to provide technical support by operating lab pilot-scale equipment according to a provided trial plan or procedure.
Responsibilities:
Incumbent would provide support to Acetate T&I Engineers by completing routine and non-routine trials in the Acetate T&I pilot plants, Acetate T&I process labs, and plant production areas.
The position requires the ability to work independently and to plan, procure, set up, and modify equipment and instrumentation to execute trials.
Candidate would communicate both with Celanese and external parties.
The incumbent would be required to assemble data and report results while interfacing with engineers, technicians, EHS, operations, vendors, and project work teams.
Fundamental knowledge of safety best practices for pilot plant and / or process laboratories.
Qualifications:
HS Diploma
3-5 years of relevant experience
Knowledge of Acetate Manufacturing, associated quality parameters, and product requirements desirable
The incumbent must posses outstanding safety awareness, and overall mechanical ability, with enhance troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
This self-motivated position also requires: willingness to accept new challenges, ability to work and successfully communicate with diverse teams, excellent interpersonal organization skills, and the ability to work on multiple tasks with limited supervision and significant time constraints.
Computer skills and the effective use of Microsoft Office products relating to data manipulation and report generation are required.
