Associate Technician, Maintenance, Reliability Expert

Overview:

Celanese is seeking an Associate Technician, Maintenance/Reliability Expert.  This role will ensure that all aspects of the maintenance plan are followed, adhering to four core principles:
 
  • Preventive maintenance
  • Equipment repair within their capabilities, including root cause analysis
  • Proactively addressing reliability issues
  • Executing maintenance activities as scheduled by the maintenance planner

Responsibilities:

Conduct routine rounds and actively monitor equipment to inspect and detect anomalies, identifying emerging issues.
 
  • Independently perform maintenance in accordance with industry standards.
  • Identify required parts, supplies, and repair items.
  • Collaborate with the Planner/Scheduler to optimize preventive maintenance procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
  • Perform maintenance tasks, make adjustments and repairs, and complete preventive maintenance as scheduled.
  • Conduct C-level root cause analyses (RCAs) on equipment reliability failure modes.
  • Troubleshoot issues in collaboration with other workgroups as necessary (e.g., Core Maintenance Expert, Reliability SME).
  • Apply lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures, turn equipment over to maintenance for repairs, and participate in return-to-service activities.
  • Deliver accurate and high-quality work notifications.

Qualifications:

  • Maintenance skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems, with the ability to perform repairs
  • Technical focus or at least 6 months of related experience in the general maintenance industry
  • Troubleshooting and RCA skills
  • Knowledge of processes and equipment
  • Ability to identify anomalies in equipment
  • Proficiency in using basic hand tool
