Overview:

Manufacturing Expert & Learning Facilitator position is important to ensure the development and training of the Team 24/7, as well as for the orderly implementation of training programs and monitoring compliance with operational controls in Utilities area which includes Electricity Distribution, Water Pretreatment, Steam Generation, Chilled Water, Cooling Water, Compressed Air and the Wastewater Treatment Plant. Ensures that the Units are operating to high standards (meeting objectives) and anticipates potential emerging problems.

Responsibilities:

  • Field evaluation of procedure usage as defined by SQRE plan.
  • Continuously monitors and tests the application of technical knowledge in field and process activities.
  • Identify potential training gaps and develop action plans to correct deviations.
  • Execute operational training.
  • Responsible for implementation and development technical training for knowledge transfer and personnel development.
  • Responsible for keeping the SOP, EOP, and CONOPS material updated.
  • Maintain training record documentation in accordance with retention policies.
  • Continuously monitors process, product and equipment to detect and anticipate emerging issues.
  • Develop and implement training for the 24/7 and/or Core Team.
  • Daily Field walkthroughs.
  • Establish and communicate operating parameters for the 24/7 Team.
  • Engage with 24/7 Team to identify and remove daily execution barriers.
  • Define, update and track alarm performance and change where needed.
  • Responsible of the team unit knowledge certification and progression.
  • Leader of the new hire, transfers, or interns through the on-boarding unit process and progression development stages.
  • Builds strategy around training and knowledge support.
  • Communicates issues or barriers with production schedule or material containment.
  • Environmental compliance (track and escalate).
  • Develop strategy and communicates executable plan for handling offgrade/rejected materials.
  • Participates in quality investigations for out-of-spec product.
  • Initiates process safety bypasses and develop mitigation plans.
  • Ensures proper application of RCA process and corrective action plans. If needed, develops action plans to achieve results.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field.
  • 3-5 years in industry engineering verifiable experience.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes, desirable in Utilities area.
  • Strong analytical & problem-solving skills, with attention to detail and experience on problem solving and troubleshooting using diverse methodologies (RCA, tap root, Ishikawa, etc.).
  • Required competencies: adaptability, coaching and developing, collaboration, driving for results, strategic planning & managing work.
  • Vibration analysis certification category IV (verifiable), focus on directing monitoring programs, performing in-depth diagnostics, and recommending corrective actions. Major Rotating Equipment (steam turbines, centrifugal chillers, compressors, etc.).
  • English level: B2.
