Overview:

Celanese is looking to expand our Tax team in Mexico City with a new Tax Advanced Specialist.  

Responsibilities:

  • Work closely with tax team members on all Mexico direct and indirect tax matters;
  • Monthly Mexico VAT compliance filings;
  • Monthly provisional income tax filings and payment calculations;
  • Support senior team members in responding to audit inquiries from Mexico tax authorities (SAT);
  • Support statutory accounting team by providing tax information for use in statutory financial statements;
  • Support senior team members in quarterly tax provision processes.
  • Support senior team member in annual tax return filings and annual tax provision processes.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of accounting or finance related
  • Minimum of 4-years of tax experience in public or industry
  • Experience in preparing annexes for the tax audit report and ISSIF (Fiscal Audit Report Filing System)
  • Desirable to have knowledge of Deferred Income Tax.
  • Good knowledge of indirect (VAT) and direct Mexico tax laws and regulations;
  • Good knowledge of SAP or equivalent ERP system;
  • Proactive, result oriented, fast learner, persistent, stable and willing to work under pressure;
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with peers, stakeholders and partners across the organization;
  • Proficient in use of Excel.
