Advanced Technician, Injection Molding (T&I)

Overview:

The Advanced Technician is expected to execute injection molding in the processing lab to support Celanese technology development in a team environment. The Advanced Technician will need to understand polymer processing to improve, implement or fix processes in the laboratory.

Responsibilities:

The primary functions of this position include but are not limited to:

 

  • Set up, operate and improve molding processes for numerous products on various hydraulic, electric and hybrid machines.
  • Support and provide technical input to research projects.
  • Troubleshoot complex molding problems, with understanding of product and machinery technology.
  • Perform mold changes, minor mold repair and maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate records in a Workflow Management Database
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment that follows safety/health related policies and procedures.
  • Perform some equipment modifications, maintenance and repairs.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associate degree or equivalent experience (i.e., minimum 4 years of experience on injection molding equipment)
