Mechanical Engineering Manufacturing Intern

Responsibilities:

Please note, we are hiring for this role at multiple locations, including: Bishop TX, Clear Lake TX, Florence KY, Narrows VA, and Washington, WV. 

  • Use basic mechanical engineering skills to provide solutions for assigned projects 
  • Apply collegiate curriculum and current knowledge/practices to solve specific technical problems and standard design problems
  • Execute challenging projects for assigned operation unit(s) to deliver improved asset integrity and unit reliability
  • Collaborate with reliability engineers, maintenance engineers, and other plant personnel to address challenging real-world problems
  • Develop competency in the design and troubleshooting of fixed and rotating equipment, such as piping, valves, heat exchangers, pumps, compressors, relief devices, and pressure vessels
  • Additional responsibilities will vary depending on the specific role

Qualifications:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering  
  • Anticipated graduation date December 2026 or May 2027
  • GPA 2.8 or higher
  • Demonstrated understanding of engineering mathematics
  • Microsoft suite proficiency: Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Attention to detail
  • Verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude and learning agility
  • Proven success working in a team environment
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety
  • Ability to work in the U.S. with no restrictions (OPT H1b, TN visa currently not supported)
