The Stewardship Learning Facilitator is responsible for developing, coordinating, and delivering training programs related to occupational safety, process safety, and environmental compliance at the Narrows site. This role plays a key part in driving the Stewardship transformation effort by building a dynamic and sustainable learning culture. The individual will also serve as the site coordinator for Tier 3 policy ownership, training alignment, and support for integration activities. This position does not have direct reports but works cross-functionally with site leaders, contractors, and corporate teams.


Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities

Safety & Environmental Training Development
• Design, implement, and maintain training programs for occupational and process safety, environmental compliance, and Celanese safety systems.
• Deliver behavioral-based and technical training tailored to employee and contractor needs.
• Ensure training plans are aligned with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and site-specific risks.

Stewardship Transformation & Learning Culture
• Lead the site-level implementation of the Stewardship transformation effort.
• Develop and support a dynamic Learning Center focused on continuous improvement and high-impact learning experiences.
• Promote safety knowledge-sharing across departments and facilitate site-wide engagement in Stewardship practices.

Tier 3 Policy Ownership and Knowledge Management
• Own and maintain the site’s Tier 3 safety policies, ensuring they are current, accessible, and aligned with corporate Tier 2 policies.
• Oversee development of a SharePoint platform to host Tier 3 policies and learning materials.
• Serve as a subject matter resource for internal safety and environmental policy guidance.

Integration & Compliance Support
• Coordinate with leaders to ensure timely and complete training for new hires, employee transfers, and contractor onboarding.
• Collaborate with third-party vendors to ensure all contractors are trained according to Celanese safety standards and labor regulations.
• Conduct periodic audits and self-assessments to verify training effectiveness and drive corrective actions.

Best Practices & Incident Learnings
• Drive the implementation of corporate and site-level initiatives related to safety performance and lessons learned.
• Ensure relevant learnings from safety events are shared effectively and integrated into training programs.
• Act as a liaison between site operations and corporate Stewardship teams to align on expectations and performance metrics.

Qualifications:

Education:
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Education, or related field is a plus

Experience:
• Minimum 5 years in industrial safety training, or manufacturing
• Experience in training design, delivery, and compliance tracking
• Familiarity with safety management systems and policy alignment

Skills:
• Strong presentation and facilitation skills
• Ability to translate technical requirements into practical training programs
• Skilled in digital tools for training delivery and content management
• Excellent communication and collaboration across departments and contractor groups
