Responsibilities:

Manufacturing Expert needed by Celanese Corporation in Florence, KY to Responsible to monitor process, product and equipment to detect and anticipate emerging issues. Develop and implement training for the 24/7 and Core Team. Responsible for field walkthroughs. Establish and communicate operating parameters for the 24/7 Team. Engage with 24/7 team to identify and remove daily execution barriers. Define, update, and track alarm performance and change where needed. Collaborate with Asset Leader to understand and set priority for equipment repairs. Environmental compliance (track and escalate) ADHOC activities. Initiate MOC’s and field walk down of implementation. Ensure proper application of RCA process and corrective action plans. Adjust raw material or escalate if plan isn’t reached. Communicate issues or barriers with production schedule or material containment. Develop strategy and communicate executable plan for handling off grade and rejected materials. Participate in quality investigations for out-of-spec product. Initiate process safety bypasses and develop mitigation plans. Communicate with outside units to share best practices. Build strategy around training and knowledge support. Escalate issues that cannot be solved regarding key activities of SQRE and need to take action. Gatekeeps 24/7 team alarm discipline. Shutdown or delay startup of equipment/unit, if unable to safety operate under SOP, SOC, Quality plans or special instructions. Prioritize SQRE plan to deliver on key targets. Identify and create plans for emerging issues and coordinate necessary resources to ensure minimal plant operational disruption. Support and lead day to day technical troubleshooting within the unit. Support and lead RCAs ad implement follow up corrective action plans. Develop daily/weekly operating plans for the Unit Operations Supervisor to execute. Coordinate with maintenance, on maintenance schedule, deciding on schedule breaks, gatekeeping work notifications, creating/organizing EIPs, and managing Process Expert vacation. Collaborate with site partners and outside vendors to ensure issues and requests are fulfilled from all parties. Design and optimize production processes, initiate projects, monitor the status of projects and drive to completion. Utilize FMEA, SPC, APQP and Control Plan. Utilize SAP, Minitab, Smartsheet, Kronos and Enablon. Perform Lean Manufacturing.

Qualifications:

Requires a Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent degree in Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering and 5 years of progressive, post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or 5 years of progressive, post- baccalaureate experience in a related occupation utilizing FMEA, SPC, APQP and Control Plan; utilizing SAP, Minitab, Smartsheet, Kronos and Enablon’ and performing Lean Manufacturing.
