Overview:

Center of Excellence Inventory Optimization

This is a pivotal role within the Engineered Materials supply chain Process, System & Governance team. This role requires strong subject matter expertise of Inventory planning process & Multi-Echelon IO Model, understanding SIOP ( Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning) process, hand-on experience of working with SAP IBP Inventory Optimization solution (tech savviness) along with strong analytical and communication skills. Should have fundamental supply chain and business acumen.

Responsibilities:

Key  Responsibilities of  BPE Inventory Planning:

  • Owns process blueprint (from conception to operationalization) along with the technology platform (SAP IBP Inventory Optimization).
  • Own and drive establishment of the IBP Inventory optimization solution with the run organization.
  • Owns integration of Inventory planning inputs (SAP S4. IBP DP) and output (ESP Blue Yonder and SAP S4) along with cross-functional discussion with Demand & Supply BPE.
  • Ensure key enablers are Fit-for-Purpose for the end users to work with IBP Inventory optimization solution.
  • Assesses and vets out requests from the business vs. integrity of process and system.
  • Maintenance of Business Activities (Team Check Ins, IT counterpart, vendor etc.), liaison between IT and end user.
  • Owns enterprise and process improvement projects for functional domain.
  • Ensures functional input to develop documentation / training materials are provided.
  • Manages continuous improvement for relevant software solutions & platforms.

Qualifications:

 

  • Minimum Bachelor Degree in Supply Chain or Engineering Disciplines e.g. industrial engineering is required.
  • APICS Certification (CPIM, CSCP) is highly desirable.
  • 5-10 years of Supply Chain or Sales & Operations Planning experience is required with focus on Inventory planning.
  • Hand-on experience on SAP IBP Inventory optimization Multi-echelon model (Inputs, Outputs, Drivers impacting Safety Stock).
