Responsibilities:

The Electrical & Instrumentation Technician is responsible for the troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems – maintaining and repairing

 

  • Troubleshooting of electrical and instrumentation systems – maintaining and repairing motors, controllers, PLC’s, VFD's, electrical systems, automated systems, instrumentation devices, routine calibrations etc.
  • Works safety at all times and intervene to ensure the safety of others
  • Resolves issues in instrumentation and electrical equipment
  • Follows policies and procedures of Process Safety Management requirements

Qualifications:

  • Education: BS. or A.A.S. degree in instrumentation
  • Entry level position requiring only the degree and the ability to pass the written and hands on testing
  • Direct experience a plus
  • SAP knowledge and experience a plus
  • Working knowledge of PLC’s, a plus
  • Working knowledge of instrumentation, a plus
  • VFD – Variable Frequency Drives experience a plus
  • Ability to demonstrate appropriate instrumentation and electrical competencies
