Overview:

This position is located at: Mylar, 3600 Discovery Drive, Chester, VA 23836

 

Primary Function: Provide support to the Sourcing Team. Perform various administrative functions associated with Sourcing activities. Works very closely with Strategic Sourcing Leads in the region, both on Raw Materials as well as MRO, Packaging side.

 

Educational Attainment: High School Diploma required. Computer, clerical and Microsoft Office Suite experience required. BA in Business or related field is a plus. 1-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain/Procurement is a plus.

 

Responsibilities:

Accountabilities:

Assist buyers in maintaining purchasing system (SAP) data, ensuring system data reflects current contract pricing and payment terms and up to date vendor information.

  • Update Pricing on POs and Outline Agreements, and work with vendor to ensure orders are confirmed
  • Create PO-s, (especially in case of emergency situations where time is critical to get delivery info from vendor and align with site for approval).
  • Maintain documentation and ensure follow-up for sourcing, quality and safety, health and environmental requirements.
  • Interface with Accounts Payable to resolve blocked invoice issues, invoice discrepancies, requiring requisitioner, supplier and history research
  • Perform monthly consignment settlements and reconciliations
  • Maintain a close and highly responsive relationship with Internal and External customers,
  • Assist buyers in preparation and transmission of RFQ (Request for Quotation) bid packages to bid participants.
  • Complete New Raw Material Vendor Qualification Checklists, and work to get all appropriate documentation associated with such
  • Scrap Invoicing
  • Manage the Raw Material Vendor and Contractor Performance Evaluation Process (organize upcoming evaluations needed and then send out reminders, when returned to update form and upload after signed)
  • Manage qualification/approval forms, product specifications, vendor performance reviews, nonconformance, USMCA/COO, Supplier certifications
  • Audit process/documentation update (BRC questionnaires etc.)
  • Manage the Non-conformance Database (to fill out and update database, upload to SharePoint)
  • Review/Update procurement procedures, keep up with review date requirements
  • Review Control Reports

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Needed:

Required

  • High School Diploma required.
  • Computer, clerical and Microsoft Office Suite experience required.
  • Knowledge and functional capability of a resource planning software, such as SAP.
  • Strong computer skills to include MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook,
  • SharePoint, Internet
  • Good communication skills, including both written and verbal.
  • Ability to interface with all levels of the organization as well as with suppliers and contractors
  • Ability to plan, organize and prioritize work activities to optimize efficiency and effectiveness in performing assigned tasks and accountabilities.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills
  • Must be able to work independently receiving minimal supervision and guidance
  • Strong ethical work behavior

Desired

  • BA in Business or related field is a plus.
  • 1-3 years’ experience in Supply Chain/Procurement is a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of industrial Safety, Health, & Environmental standards
