Overview:

A Tolling Scheduler job focuses on optimizing and managing the production processes of an organization that utilizes external tollers (manufacturing partners) for product or component production. This involves developing and implementing long-term supply strategies, forecasting production needs, and managing the flow of materials and products to ensure efficient and cost-effective manufacturing.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement long-term supply strategies that align with the organization's business objectives, ensuring a steady flow of materials and products to external tollers.
  • Production Forecasting: Provide long-range production forecasts to tollers .
  • Capacity Management: Manage the capacity of external tollers to ensure they can meet production demands.
  • Material Flow: Ensure the timely and cost-effective flow of raw materials and products between the organization and its tollers, potentially including coordinating logistics and shipping.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels at the organization and its tollers, potentially managing inventory optimization strategies and perform inventory cycle counts.
  • Performance Monitoring: Track the performance of tollers, including delivery times, quality, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Maintain strong communication and collaboration with tollers, internal stakeholders and other departments to ensure smooth and efficient production processes.
  • Check the weekly requirement plan and perform T-Codes in SAP to move product.
  • Collaborate with internal stake holders to optimize the schedule, handle execution level changes, and align on future plan / calendars and specific demand requirements.
  • Collaborate with regional planner to mitigate any unplanned customer demand to handle rush supply requests.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Supply Planner, Warehouse/Logistics teams, Customer Service and Others) to mitigate any supply related hurdles.
  • Maintain scheduling related master data in SAP.
  • Support improvements to local/global scheduling related projects and tool improvements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain Mgmt., Business, Industrial Engineering, or related field preferred.
  • 5 to 7 years of related experience in a manufacturing operation and or supply chain planning role.
  • 3 Plus years of Finite Scheduling experience (E.g.: Combination of raw material, Supply planning, Purchasing, Logistics (finished goods), and execution).
  • Experience with SAP MRP Scheduling preferred.
  • APICS certification preferred.
  • Experience w/ advanced planning / scheduling solutions preferred (e.g., JDA/Blue Yonder).
  • Experience in a chemical compounding environment preferred.
  • Strong problem solving, analytical and communication skills required.
